DZOMBO
Dzombo was one of the original Magnificent Seven.
(c. 1935 - 1983)

His name is derived from 'dzombolo' which means
'to wait for something that is slow in coming'.

Dzombo was the only one of the
Magnificent Seven to be killed by poachers.

His tusks, which were well matched in both thickness
and length, were recovered and are now located in
the Elephant Hall Museum at Letaba Restcamp in the Kruger National Park.
