MANDHEVHU
died March 27 or 28th 2010 near Mooiplaas Windmill in the Mopani area.

Another Big Tusker has gone. After Alexander, about a year ago (febr. 2009) there are not many Big Tuskers left in Mopani area. Hopefully some bulls with promising tusks will reach the status of Big Tuskers in near future.

I met Mandhevhu 4 times so he became a bit special since I looked him in the eyes on one occasion. Rain, wind and Mandhevhu coming straight through some bush at about 20 meters or less distance from me. An eye-to-eye that was.
Pictures of that sighting or meeting on this page.
