ALEXANDER
This picture shows the special marks of Alexander.
The holes and notches in his ears.
About Alexander : He was Tusker of tomorrow, named in honour of Prof. Stuart Saunders who had contributed to research programs in the KNP.

He had a hole and an u-shaped notch in the right ear.

Alexander died february 7th by a heart attack. It is a big loss again for the Tuskers in KNP.
Personally I "met" him 2 times in KNP february 25th and 26th 2008 where he was really posing for me.

Location: Mopani Mooiplaas waterhole

Characteristics
Alexander was mainly seen in the Mopani area near Mooiplaas in KNP.

Only once as we known he made a "trip" to Letaba area just before he died.
He died very close to Mopani Restcamp where his remains were just near the road.
Just a year after making the pictures Alexander died just outside Mopani Restcamp. Last thing I could do is making some pictures of his carcass with tears in my eyes......
Big Tuskers of Yesterday
As said, I saw Alexander 2 times. This was on a small road just outside Mopani restcamp at febr. 25th 2008.
