SHILOWA died in April 1998
 
Shilowa means 'the bewitched one' in Tsonga.
 
He was named after a koppie near Mopani
 
He was often seen in the company of Mungana, another Tusker
 
His body was found in April 1998 near the Nshawu No 1 windmill.

He roamed the area around Mopani,
Mooiplaas and to the south
 
 
Characteristics
 
 He had a large crack along his right tusk and
deep grooves on the underside of the left tusk
His right tusk was longer than the left
